Written by KEY News Staff

Breaking news this morning out of Oxnard.

Highway 101 at Del Norte Boulevard just re-opened in both directions after an accident caused a full closure early Thursday morning.
It happened around 4:40 a.m. when two cars collided.

The CHP website shows wires were down across the lanes and may have contributed to that accident.

Scanner traffic and the website describe how a power pole was dangling across the lines, and live wires across the freeway lanes.

According to scanner traffic, two ambulances were called to the scene after multiple reports that someone had been electrocuted.

A KEY News crew is on scene, an we'll bring you more information as it comes into the newsroom.
