Highway Construction Delays Commuters

Written by KEYT Producer

Construction on Highway 101 is underway in Santa Barbara.

Starting Monday night, crews are working to repave parts of the highway, from Milpas Street to Patterson Avenue.

The 8.5 mile project will cause closures until Friday morning, from 8 pm to 6 am.

CalTrans says it will remove the top layer of pavement and repave it with asphalt.

The overall cost of the project is $5.5 million.
