"Extreme Santa Barbara" - Mountain Biking

Santa Ynez Valley - It may seem quiet and peaceful, but if you want fast and are looking for extreme adventure on two wheels, look no further than The Dirt Club.

It is a private location for mountain biking enthusiasts. It allows you to enjoy the sport in a safe location, where there is no conflict between bikers and other trail users.

The Dirt Club offers two downhill trails, one super downhill trail, a dual slalom course, a 12- mile cross country course and miles of dirt trails that allow you to explore the entire property.

"Right here, it's all about mountain biking," said Mike Hecker, Manager of the Dirt Club.

Even if you are not looking for extreme adventure, there is something for all skill levels.

"We also have trails that are perfect if you've never ridden a mountain bike before, but you want to try it. You can come here and we can put you on a four mile course that isn't going to scare you," said Hecker.

The Dirt Club is open for anybody, but for more access, memberships are available. Also, if you would like to help keep the course in good condition, the Dirt Club offers trail work-and-ride days.
