Energy Bill Assistance Program

If you need help paying off those energy bills, help may be available. Officials for the Southern California Gas Co. (The Gas Company) have announced a new program that offers grants to customers to help them pay off past due bills and avoid utility shutoffs.
. The company is encouraging customers experiencing financial hardship to apply for assistance through a new state program called "TEAF" - Temporay Energy Assistance for Families. The program, admiistered by the Salvation Army, provides eligible families the opportunity to receive a one-time energy creit of up to $1,500 to pay off past bills.
