Emergency Operations Office Urges Public To Buy Hand-Crank Radio

Santa Barbara - Santa Barbara County’s Emergency Operations managers are asking local residents to purchase a hand-crank portable radio for their home and work disaster kits.

Officials say it is recommended buying one in order to receive media information when there is no power.

Hand-crank radios can be found at many local hardware and outdoor stores.
