Elings Park Development Project A No-Go

Part of a development project at Elings Park in Santa Barbara won't be happening.

Plans to develop the southern part of the park with a BMX bike course, restrooms and more parking aren't going to happen. Park officials say too many neighbors oppose the project.

Some park users we spoke with supported the project.

The existing BMX course will be demolished so soccer fields can go in. Park officials say they want to help find a new home for a BMX course.
