Detectives Searching For Parolee

Santa Barbara - Santa Barbara Sheriff’s detectives are searching for a parolee who has been on the run since burglarizing a home in Los Alamos Oct. 19.

Daren James Blomgren, 43, of Santa Maria, is suspected of breaking into the home. Detectives were able to track Blomgren and Jean Marie Carignan, 55, of Santa Maria, to a motel in the 1000 block of Main St. in Santa Maria.

Blomgren was not located, but Carignan was found in the motel room with methamphetamine and stolen property from the burglary.

Carignan was arrested and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail for burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. Her bail was set set $50,000, which she posted Oct. 20.
