Couple Could Face Life in Prison for Alleged Attempted Murder Charge

KEYT Assignment Desk

The former Lompoc couple accused of shooting a Santa Barbara man in early March could spend the rest of their lives in prison if they're found guilty.

Jack and Rebecca Mills are now both facing charges of attempted murder.

Investigators say Jack stormed a house on the 1500 block of Gillespie and shot a man point blank in the head, as his wife, Rebecca waited in the get-away car.

The victim was hospitalized but survived.

The Mills were tracked down in Nevada a several weeks later with help of the US Marshals.

Both Jack and Rebecca remain in custody at the Santa Barbara County Jail.

The couple is due back in court on August 18th.
