Sentencing for the man convicted of murdering two people inside their Santa Barbara home was delayed for at least two months during a morning hearing in Santa Barbara Superior Court.

After two mistrials, jurors in the third trial found Corey Lyons guilty of double murder, in the first degree.

The defendant was also found guilty of burglary and special circumstances that will enhance sentencing.

Lyons used a shotgun to kill his brother, Daniel Lyons, and Barbara Sharton inside their Mesa home in May of 2009.

The motive was said to be linked to a financial issue over construction costs.

Lyons is now scheduled to be sentenced April 10.
