Bloody Brawl on State Street

A bloody early morning brawl lands one person in jail.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday on the 400-block of State Street just as the night clubs began closing.

Santa Barbara Police say the incident began as a fight between a large group of people. It all ended when one person hit another on the head with a glass bottle.

The suspect is now in custody, facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
