Asphalt Project To Begin Jan. 30

Santa Barbara County - The Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors has awarded the construction of the Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay project.

The project was awarded close to $664,000 for work to be done on Clark Avenue, Central Avenue, Santa Maria Way and W. Betteravia Road.

The project is scheduled to begin on Jan. 30 and end sometime in March. Construction hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. One lane of traffic will be open during this time and drivers should expect delays up to 15 minutes.

The project is funded by Prop 1B Local Streets and Roads and Measure "A" funds.
