Amber Alert issued for Missing Porterville Mother and Child

The California Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a mother and child who were kidnapped Tuesday morning from the Porterville area.

Authorities say 8-month-old Sebastian Mosqueda and his 18-year-old mother, Monserrat Caracoza were abducted just before 2 a.m. by Sebastian’s biological father.

The suspect, Pedro Mosqueda, was last seen driving a 1991 Honda Civic, with a CA license 5VOY539. Mosqueda is believed to have entered the woman’s home through a window and forced the two victims into his car.

The suspect may be traveling through Santa Barbara and/or Ventura Counties.

If the suspect, child, or suspect vehicle are seen, please call 911 immediately with the details of your sighting.
