Authorities Recover School's Stolen Computers

Authorities say they've recovered a majority of the stolen laptop computers thieves stole from a local elementary school, earlier this week.

The theft was discovered Monday morning after a janitor found a classroom door ajar at the Cold Springs Elementary School, in Montecito.

Investigators say the thieves took a total of 60 computers, worth about $75,000 from the school. the computer had been purchased for students through fundraising efforts.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department said 52 of the 60 computers were recovered in the Bay Area, with the help of anonymous tip.

At this time no one has been arrested for the crimes and detectives are still searching for the suspects.
