Anniversary of Unsolved Keys Murder

June 3rd marks the one year anniversary of an unsolved murder in the Ventura Keys.
That's the day Wendy DiRodeo was stabbed to death in a downstairs bedroom of her parents Sailor Avenue home.

At first neighbors thought the slaying might be related to the Faria Beach murders two weeks earlier.
But police denied it and deputies made an arrest in that case in april.

Nevertheless neighbor say they feel like they're in the dark about the investigation.

Sgt. Jack Richards said, "It's important that everyone know we are still on this case, remember forensics take a long process. "

DiRodeo was a 61 year old therapist, author and Santa Barbara swing dance instructor in the process of buying her own home.
