School Board Member Gets Prison Time For Molestation Crimes

Brian Martin, the former Rio School District Board Member who pleaded guilty to molesting a young relative and impregnating the girl, was sentenced to 17-years in prison.

Thursday morning a judge handed down the sentence to Martin and also said he must serve 85-percent of the term before he will be elligible for release.

The 49-year-old board member was arrested a short time after the teen victim gave birth to a baby boy.

Martin abused the young girl over a period of 5-years, while she was living in his home.
