Miniature Horse Visits Children in Goleta

Written by Kyra Jenkins

The world's smallest horse made an appearance Sunday in Goleta to help a local charity. The dwarf offspring of a miniature horse called Thumbelina is only a foot and a half tall and is traveling the nation to help out those in need.
Thumbelina drew attention at a horseback riding event put on by "Hearts Adaptive Riding Program." The organization provides horseback riding to physically and mentally disabled children and adults. Organization officials say horseback riding provides therapeutic benefits and a better quality of life.
