Bob the Tortoise on a Rocky Road to Recovery
KEY News has received an update on the condition of "Bob, the Tortoise". The owner tells us he is doing better but is still in a delicate condition, proceeding the assault last month.
Bob is still eating through a feeding tube and hasn't regained his appetite for his favorite flower, hibiscus. Caretakers say Bob is making some big strides at Turtle Dreams Rehabilitation Center and they expect him to make a full recovery. The owners and their son are anxious to take him home as soon as next week. The entire situation has taken a toll on Bob's best friend, the owner's six-year-old autistic son, who's health has declined since the incident. The family hopes justice will be done and for their sons health to improve. The family found Bob after he had been tortured as if someone tried to remove his shell from his body last month. The suspect, 18 year-old Tony Mosquedo, is charged with felony animal cruelty. He plead not guilty on July 24th. |
