Fatal Crash Victim Had Drugs in System

An Arroyo Grande woman killed in a car crash earlier this month was under the influence of alcohol when the accident happened.

Toxicology reports released by San Luis Obispo County Coroner's office show Alicia Renee Carreras, 20, also had marijuana in her system.

The accident happened on March 11 on Stanton Road just south of Lyn Road in San Luis Obispo. The California Highway Patrol says Carreras veered off the edge of the roadway, and hit a tree.

The crash wasn't discovered for more than two hours after it happened. Carreras was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
