Race For 23rd Congressional District, Gets Crowded

Santa Barbara, CA-- The race for the 23rd Congressional District seat currently held by Lois Capps (D), got a little bigger on Thursday.

Summerland entrepreneur and retired Navy pilot, Tom Watson officially announced his run for the seat in Santa Barbara.

The republican candidate says the government isn't working for the people and spending is out of control. Watson also believes, not being a career politician can bring new perspective to Washington.

Nearly 10 candidates are now in the running for Capps' seat, Watson being the sixth republican to announce.
