Written by KEYT Producer

General Electric is donating $15 million dollars to the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley in honor of Reagan's centennial.

The announcement came on Wednesday with a rare public appearance by former First Lady, Nancy Reagan.
General Electric CEO, Jeff Immelt told Mrs. Reagan that GE will donate $10 million dollars to help renovate the library, which includes construction of a new theater that will air videotapes of the "general Electric Theater," which was a live program that actor Ronald Reagan used to host.

General Electric says the other $5 million dollars will go towards scholarships.

All will be completed when Reagan's 100Th birthday is celebrated on February 11, 2011.
