Filing A Police Report In The Digital Age

KEYT Assignment Desk

Oxnard, CA-- Residents can now report a variety of non-emergency crimes on the internet now, with the help of the Oxnard Police Department.

Oxnard Police have set-up an online portal that allows the public to login and file a report, without ever speaking to an officer.

Victims of vandalism, lost property, hit-and-run accidents and thefts of property under $5,000 can file a report of the crime through the Web-based system.

Department officials say the new site will help officers from getting tied-up on non-emergency calls.

The online reporting site can be found at http://www.oxnardpd.org
