Witness Intimidation Suspects Headed To Prison

The two suspects accused of stabbing a witness in the Ricardo Juarez murder trial, entered 'no contest' pleas today in a Santa Barbara courtroom.

Pablo Lopez and Jorge Bustos appeared in court Monday morning.

The stabbing happened in August of 2008, near the Guest House Inn on upper State Street.

Lopez and Bustos initially pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder with a gang enhancement, witness intimidation and participation in a criminal street gang.

Lopez and Bustos will be sentenced to prison on April 19th.

Lopez is expected receive 15 years and Bustos could get 19 years.
