Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

Santa Barbara, CA-- The Santa Barbara Symphony is holding a food drive to help needy families.

Now, through March 31st, the Symphony along with the League of American Orchestras are taking part in a nationwide campaign.

All the locally donated food will go the the Unity Shoppe in Santa Barbara.

Unity Shoppe officials say the demand for food has been up 35-percent for the last two years. And, there's no sign of of a turn around yet.

You can drop off a donation at the Unity Shoppe or during the Symphony's two March concerts at the Granada Theatre. That includes this Saturday at 8 p.m or on Sunday at 3 p.m.
