The East Side Library Re-Opens

An exciting day for Tri-County residents as one re-vamped library officially opens once again. Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider and other city leaders celebrated the re-opening of The East Side Library with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The main room of the library has been spruced up with 12 new computers, books, paint, and new carpeting.

The renovation was funded by a generous donation from local east side resident Rose Karat. Library employees say they couldn't be happier with the new look. The library also received energy efficient lighting, internet stations and all new furniture.
