SLO Kicks Off 16th Annual Film Festival

The San Luis Obispo Film Festival kicks off Friday night.

The festival will open with a screening of "Ten Years Later," a film based in San Luis Obispo. That show starts at 7 p.m. at the downtown Centre Cinemas.

On Saturday, San Luis Obispo County native and Oscar nominee Josh Brolin is expected at a gala event, at the Santa Margarita Ranch.

Surf filmmaker Joel Conroy, and Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg are expected at the 10-day event.

Alan Arkin, best known for his performances in "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Edward Scissorhands," will receive the King Vidor Career Achievement Award on Saturday, March 20th.

Tickets for Friday night's screening range between $7 to 12 dollars.
