Improvements Made To County REVERSE 911® System

Santa Barbara, CA-- An emergency phone call, and an improved map. Those are two new resources to help Santa Barbara County residents during the next disaster.

This newest emergency responder map spans Santa Barbara's front country, from Carpinteria to Hollister.

Communities are now split into small "zones" to make evacuations and REVERSE 911® calls more efficient.

Local residents can register online. Simply log onto sbsheriff.org, click on the REVERSE 911® logo, and maintain your own data account.

Sheriff's officials say with the new self-registration portal, information that used to take weeks to input, is now in the system within hours.
