Authorities Hope Public Can Help ID Theft Suspect

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department are looking for a man they believe stole more than $2,500 from a resident's bank account, while using ATM's along the Central Coast.

The Sheriff's Department is now releasing new surveillance photos of the suspect, in hopes the public will help identify him.

During November of last year, the suspect allegedly obtained personal information from a victim, and was able to create a fraudulent ATM card.

Authorities say the man, then used the card at a number of Bank Of America ATM machines from Camarillo to Salinas.

Those with information are urged to call Sheriff's Detectives at (805) 681-4150 or the Sheriff's Anonymous Tip Line at (805) 681-4171.
