Contractors Upset Over County Construction Proposal

Construction contractors are accusing Santa Barbara Supervisors of favoring what they call, a kick back scheme.

On Wednesday, they held a rally in Santa Barbara to voice their opposition to project labor agreements, that pave the way for union work.

In February, county supervisors agreed to consider a proposal that would employ local construction workers. Opponents say the agreement would force non-union workers to pay union dues.

However, one local supervisor says that's not what is under consideration.
