3.0 Temblor Hits Near San Nicholas Island

A small earthquake hit off the Ventura County coast Tuesday afternoon.

A 3.0 temblor struck at about ten minutes after noon. The small quake was centered near the Channel Islands, about 53-miles south of Oxnard.

Tuesday's quake comes after three smaller quakes hit California's eastern desert, and just hours after a 4.0 struck in San Diego County.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
