Study on Gang Prevention Points to Law Enforcement

A new study indicates the war on gangs locally and across the nation is being lost.
Police say a rival gang fatally stabbed a 16-year-old Santa Barbara teenager Monday night. No one has been arrested, although officers believe they are closer to making an arrest. This gang-related incident is one of many in Santa Barbara County.
A report says the primary focus on law enforcement and not interventions is the problem, according to Justice Policy Institute.
Santa Barbara Police Chief tells us the intervention is here for kids who want it.
