Parents Warned After Pot Candy Makes Student Sick

Written by Christina Heller

Santa Barbara, CA-- The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department is warning parents about certain kinds of candy that causes more than cavities.

Authorities say they've come across lollipops and candy bars containing edible marijuana.

They say the candy was being illegally, distributed to school kids. Investigators believe the candy came from several marijuana dispensaries in Goleta and Summerland.

Sheriff officials say a juvenile recently became sick after eating some of the marijuana laced sweets.
