Local Senator Wants To Build Memorial Statue Of Reagan

Santa Barbara, CA-- State Senator Tony Strickland (R) was in Santa Barbara on President's Day, proposing a bill to build a memorial statue of the late, Ronald Reagan.

According to Strickland, the stature would honor America's 40th President on his 100th birthday. And would be located in the State Capital.

The bill Strickland is pushing forth, SB 963, says the planning, construction and maintenance of the memorial would be completely, funded through private donations.

Senator Strickland hopes the statue will be in place on or before February 6th of next year.
