Marijuana Find

Christina Heller

A traffic stop in Santa Barbara nets more than 100-pounds of marijuana. Santa Barbara Police say they were working in a high prostitution area Friday night when they noticed a suspicious driver on East Gutierrez.

Officers were able to pull the driver aside to talk, and say they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car. A police dog searched the car and found just over twenty pounds of marijuana.

Investigators then searched the suspect's two homes and discovered more than one hundred pounds of pot and twenty three marijuana plants. Police arrested Glen Mowrer III.

He faces several charges including probation violation and possession sales and cultivation of marijuana. Police say the confiscated marijuana has an estimated street value of four hundred thousand dollars.
