Giant Squid Caught Off Santa Barbara Coast

Santa Barbara, CA-- We told you about the sightings off the coast of Orange county. Now, it appears those giant squid have made their way to the Tri-Counties.

A local shrimp fisherman caught one in the Santa Barbara Channel, Thursday morning. From top to bottom, the beast measures a whopping five feet

Some are calling it a fascinating sight, since the large squid are migratory creatures and may not be around for long.

Hundreds of the over-sized squid have been caught off the California coast since Saturday.

Their recent invasion has prompted many fisherman to add more trips to their daily schedules.
