Rain Expected To Fall Through Saturday

Christina Heller

A steady rain began falling across the Tri-Counties, early Friday morning. Forecasters say we can expect the showers to continue throughout the day.

This latest storm could drop 1-2 inches along the coast, and up to 5 inches in local mountains.

Friday's rain is expected to taper off later in the evening, then another batch of wet weather could hit as early as, Saturday morning.

Officials in Santa Barbara say they have not had any reports of major flooding or mud and rock slides. However, they are continuing to keep a close eye on hillsides burned during the Tea and Jesusita Fires.

In San Luis Obispo County, close to an inch of rain has already fallen in some places.
