Local WWII Pilot Center Of Pentagon Documentary

Goleta, CA-- A local, Word War II veteran is set to receive one of the nation's highest honors next month.

Carol Brinton Selfridge, is the subject of a documentary on the Women's Airforce Service Pilots program. Also known as "WASP's"-- during the war.

Their one year-long mission was to help shuttle planes over to Europe.

The Pentagon is taking notice of Selfridge's story and is currently shooting a documentary about her.

As Beth Farnsworth reports, this honor is all the more special because this war hero is a woman, and her tribute is long overdue.
