Weekend Events In SLO County To Honor Martin Luther King Jr.

In the coming days, people across the country will come together to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

On Saturday in San Luis Obispo, a 'Sharing The Dream' ceremony will be held at Laguna Middle school from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Videos of Dr. Kings speeches will be shown, as well as musical guests and speakers.

If you miss Saturday's ceremony, you can honor the late civil rights leader at an event in Paso Robles on Sunday. The celebration is being held at Robbin's Field and starts at 1p.m.

The community is invited to enjoy speakers and musical performances, and then march to the City Hall on Spring Street.
