Inmate Walks Away From California Men's Colony

San Luis Obispo, CA-- The California Department of Corrections issued a bulletin, after an inmate reportedly walked away from his job at the California Men's Colony Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Bryan Sims, a 34-year-old Ventura County man was last seen by the Plant Supervisor at 9:40 p.m. and was discovered missing at 10:20 p.m. Monday night.

Sims is described as a White male, 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 276 pound, with a shaved head and several tattoos of the name "Shannon." He was last seen wearing a lime green prison jumpsuit, a state issued blue denim jacket, and brown work boots. Officials say he may have changed clothing.

Sims was serving an 8-year sentence for receiving stolen property. He was scheduled for release in August of 2014.

Anyone seeing Sims should contact local law enforcement immediately.
