Mike Brown Facing Another Lawsuit
A local county official may once again be in hot water.
KEY News has learned that Santa Barbara County Chief Executive Officer Mike Brown is facing another lawsuit by a county employee. Brown apologized for making insensitive remarks about Muslims after September 11th. The incident cost taxpayers nearly a million dollars to settle. This latest case involves a lawsuit against Brown by former Public Defender James Egar. Are his admitted comments and the new allegations too great a cost to taxpayers? The County of Supervisors, who are Brown's bosses may be wrestling with this question now. KEY News Reporter Michelle Cole has this exclusive story. |
