Man Arrested On Pimping and Human Trafficking Charges

A man accused of using a 16 year old run-away as a prostitute in Santa Barbara has been caught in Las Vegas.
KEY NEWS was at the airport when the suspect was brought here to face charges. Leonard Rivers was apparently hiding out in Las Vegas when police caught him. He is accused of working with an adult woman on a scheme to use a 16-year-old Orange County girl for prostitution in multiple locations including Las Vegas, Ventura and Santa Barbara.
He is accused of pimping after working with a suspected accomplice, Tanya Johnson, last December to have the runaway girl perform sex for money in a Santa Barbara hotel.
It was also discovered that the trio has been on the move and the teen could not get back to Orange County. Rivers faces multiple felony charges as a suspected pimp, including human trafficking.
