Local narcotics officers are trying to keep up with an increasing number of massive marijuana grows in our local forests.

Officers on the front lines eradicating these grows, take us to an illegal grow once run by Mexican drug traffickers.

In this KEY Assignment, Paula Lopez takes a deeper look at the violence associated with these grows and the damage they are inflicting on our environment.

Also two hikers, who believe they barely escaped with their lives after stumbling upon one of these illegal farms--sits down to tell their story.
