Santa Maria Chase and Shooting

Three people are in custody after allegedly leading authorities on a high-speed chase and shooting at officers. Santa Maria police arrested Barbara Trevino, Joseph Deleon and Albert Valdez on Monday. They're all Santa Maria residents.

The group allegedly lead police on a chase that started near Mercury and Auto Park and ended at Benwiley and Main. Authorities say Deleon is a wanted parolee. They say Trevino was driving the vehicle and refused to pull over. Police say Deleon shot at them during the pursuit. No one was injured.

Police say all three suspects are gang members. They face several charges including attempted murder on peace officers.
