Parents, Staff And Students Rally To Save Charter School
Santa Barbara, CA-- School board members are meeting Tuesday night, and on their list of discussion topics-- the fate of Cesar Chavez Charter School.
Last week, Superintendent Brian Sarvis said based on state requirements and test scores, the 10-year old school will likely lose its charter. Principal Eva Neuer hopes the school board will view all of the charter school's data, not just test scores. Tuesday's school board meeting begins at 7 p.m. at district headquarters on Santa Barbara Street. A march in support of Cesar Chavez Charter School will start at 5:30 p.m. at Ortega Park. Supporters will march to the district office. |
