Holiday Hiring Spree

Santa Barbara, CA-- As we head into the holiday season, KEY News wanted to find out if local shops are hiring. And what we found is rather surprising to some.

Many retailers in the Paseo Nuevo Mall are accepting applications for holiday sales employees, that's promising news for the over 12-percent of out of work Californians.

The Arlington Theatre and the Paseo Nuevo Theatre are also hiring seasonal employees. However, it may not be that easy to land a job because there's a lot of competition right now.

Good advise for those looking for a job, even if you don't see a "help wanted" sign posted in the window, go inside the store and ask for an application.
