Plane Goes Down At Santa Barbara Airport

Christina Heller

Goleta, CA-- Just before 1 p.m. Friday afternoon a small plane went down at the Santa Barbara Airport.

When airport fire crews arrived they found a single engine Cesna in a grass area next to the runway.

According to eyewitnesses the plane was attempting to land, when it looked like the pilot lost control. That's when the plan hit the ground and nose first.

The two people on board, a couple from Neveda, were not injured in the crash.

The FAA is conducting an investigation.
