2009 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
FINAL ELECTION COUNT, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2009

SANTA BARBARA, CA – November 5, 2009 – The City of Santa Barbara is on track to release the final election results of the 2009 General Municipal Election on Monday, November 9, 2009.

Including 187 provisional ballots, 294 ballots remain to be counted. This is a small number given the 22,869 votes counted on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2009.

The City’s election website, SBCityVote.org will be updated on Monday, November 9, 2009, after the final count is completed. The City will also issue a formal news release.

The projected date for the City Council to certify the election results is Tuesday, November 24, 2009.
