Major Drug Bust Nets Five In SLO County
Oceano, CA-- A month-long investigation by a number of State and local agencies, authorities confiscated 121 grams of crystal methamphetamine, numerous guns and arrested five individuals.
40 agents conducted two early morning raids in the Five Cities area. The officers were part of the San Luis Obispo Narcotics Task Force. They had a month long investigation based on information that a drug trafficking organization was selling meth and assault weapons. Five residents were taken into custody as a result of Thursday's raids and authorities seized 6 guns, including an assault rifle. One resident on 22nd street in Oceano, Lisha Dempsey said she woke up to, "booms" when officers raided the property next door. Another resident said she believed for years the home was "hot" meaning it was a likely place to buy drugs. No one was arrested in a second raid in Grover Beach.
