Christina Heller

Santa Barbara, CA-- Health officials say Santa Barbara County is not going to receive the amount once anticipated, of the H1N1 vaccine. In a press conference held Monday afternoon, officials say they are receiving a much smaller shipment of the vaccine.

Those vaccines will only be given to pregnant woman, children and the medically frail.

Health officials say they need 60,000 doses for the high risk group, and the first shipment will be only 4400.

The first shipment of doses will be ready Wednesday and go to pregnant women and children.

The rest of the population will have to wait until at least mid November before a larger shipment arrives.

Medical officials say there is no need to panic, once the vaccines arrive, everyone who wants a flu shot will get one.
