Schools Re-Open As Firefighters Continue To Battle The Guiberson Fire

UPDATE: Classes at Moorpark College are back in session after being canceled Wednesday due to the fast moving Guiberson Fire. All schools in the Moorpark are also open despite closures on Wednesday.

As of Thursday morning, containment of the Guiberson Fire stood at 40-percent and firefighters believe full containment could be reached by Saturday morning.

Moorpark, CA-- Classes at Moorpark College were canceled for Wednesday due to the fast moving Guiberson Fire.

School officials made the decision to close the campus as a precaution because of overnight fire activity. The fire line is now visible from the north end of the Moorpark College campus.

Two elementary schools in the area have also closed due to fire activity, Campus Canyon and Walnut Canyon Elementary School.
