The San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Department releases the "dashboard camera video" of a shooting that took place between deputies and an armed suspect.
It occurred in Oceano back on August 8th when deputies arrived to find 19-year-old Chad Berryhill breaking our car windows on Beach Street.
Deputies say Berryhill refused to put down a rifle he was carrying.. he then kept pointing the weapon and operating the "bolt" as he approached the deputies, who finally were forced to open fire.. fearing for their lives.
Berryhill was wounded, and later plead no contest to three felonies.
On Friday, his claim for damages against the Sheriff's Department was rejected.
Berryhill will be sentenced March 7th.
